European Union of the Deaf (EUD)

European Union of the Deaf (EUD), based in Brussels, is the organisation at the EU level representing deaf sign language users in all 27EU Member States, plus Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. EUD aims to achieve equality in public and private life for Deaf people all over Europe to ensure they can become full citizens. EUD also has participatory status with the Council of Europe (CoE) and is a full member of the European Disability Forum (EDF), as well as a Regional Co-operating Member of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) to tackle issues of global importance.
